After two years of getting used to the new version of Google Search Console, Google has finally removed the old version which was still accessible and used by many digital marketers.
Google said Goodbye to their old Search Console in the latest blog updated here!
They decided to shut down the old search console as they believe that users would have now gotten enough time to get used to the new version. The announcement from Google said that they hit an important milestone in their graduation journey. They are finally saying goodbye to the old search console reports, home and dashboard pages.
All the people who are trying to access the old version will now be getting redirected to the new Google search console interface. However, there are still quite a few legacy reports that have not completed the migration process to the new interface. Those reports can still be accessed via an option in new Console called “Legacy tools and reports.”
This is being considered as one of the big changes of 2019. As many of the digital marketers have grown fond of the old interface, it would be a challenge to get used to the new interface. If you haven’t taken time to understand it by now, you need to get started right away.
